Galway City Partnership is a local and community development company working in Galway City. We have been in existence since 1996 and our aim is to tackle disadvantage and social exclusion – and focus particularly on those who are long term unemployed.

Galway City Partnership Mission Statement:

‘To tackle disadvantage and social exclusion, with a particular emphasis on those currently or in danger of becoming long-term unemployed; To enhance our target groups capacity to contribute fully to their own and their communities sustainable development’.

  • Our role in the development of innovative, flexible programmes to meet the needs of our specific groups and individuals.
  • We work strategically with local agencies and groups to ensure that mainstreaming of successful projects becomes a reality while enabling the lessons learned to positively influence policy at all levels.

The programme and supports section explains in more detail how we try to do this.
