Preparing for Education & Training – Practical Taster Programme

Preparing for Education & Training – Practical Taster Programme is designed to provide an introduction to and preparation for Adult Education and Training. The focus is on people who have not previously engaged in or who have withdrawn from courses early to facilitate them to identifying their learning needs/interests and to prepare them to engage in future provision. The course will provide core learning in personal effectiveness, communications, learning to learn skills and goal setting alongside a number of taster workshops in more practical topics. There will also be visits to various training and adult education centres in the city.

Homework Co-ordinator and Assistant required for Homework Club in Ballybane

A Homework Club Co-ordinator is required to set up and run the Homework Club in the Ballybane Community Resource Centre. The Co-ordinator will be required to work Monday to Thursday, 22 hours per week, which includes 12 hours during the Homework Club sessions. As well as running the clubs on a daily basis, the work will entail liaising with parents, teachers and other agencies.


New Potting Shed & Greenhouse at Galway City Partnership

This short video shows the building of our new Greenhouse and Potting Shed. This is a great addition to our Award Winning Roof Top Garden at Galway City Partnership. In the video those involved share how the shed will improve the garden. We thank them and the Agenda 21 Fund of the Galway City Council for funding this project.
