Our Year 9 graduation ceremony took place on Tuesday 19th April 2016at 11am in Mayoralty House. It was a great opportunity to meet up with all our young ladies and to hear how well they are all doing.
9 of our learners received a Level 3 QQI Major Award in Employability Skills and 3 were awarded Component Certificates
The following is a list of what the learners are currently pursuing
- Sitting their Leaving Certificate in June 2016
- Medical/Legal Secretary in Galway Community College
- Working in GRETB
- Working in the University Hospital Galway.
- Higher Certificate in Culinary Arts in GMIT
- CE Scheme with Citizens Information
- Care Assistant
- Culinary Skills with BTEI
Currently we have 11 learners (Year 10) on our programme, they will finish on the 5th August 2016 and our new programme (Year 11) will commence on 5th September 2016.
This is a PART TIME course – mornings only from September – August for anyone in receipt of the One Family Payment or Job Seekers Transition payment. At the end of the course if you are successful with all your modules you will receive a QQI (FETAC) Level 3 Major Award in Employability Skills
We will be holding Open Daysin June and in August.

Galway City Partnership, with the support of Galway Roscommon Education and Training Board,are running a 6 week training course covering all you will need to know to set up a business – everything from exploring the legal requirements to understanding business planning and cash flow.
If you are unemployed, in receipt of a Department of Social Welfare payment or signing for credits then this course is free.
