Age-friendly Acorn Tablets

Galway City Partnership received funding from the Department of Community and Rural Development and Galway City Council to purchase Age Friendly Acorn Tablets. Staff of Galway City Council and COPE attended training today on how to best assist older people with getting the best out of their devices. Initial funding was received for 8 tablets and more recently the Department of Rural and Community Development and Galway City Council have supported GCP to purchase an additional 8. Galway City Partnership have also agreed to match fund the second allocation which means a total of 24 Age Friendly Acorn Tablets will be made available for older people across the city.
