The Ballybane Mervue Local Community Development Office

The Ballybane Mervue Local Community Development Office of Galway City Partnership is located in the Ballybane Community Resource Centre.

We offer support and resources to individuals and community groups in the area.

Community Education Courses:

      With funding from the GRETB and other agencies we offer a variety of Community Education Courses. For eg Beginners Art, Healthy Cookery, Christmas Cookery, Yoga & Personal Development, Beauty courses, Upcycling, Health & Fitness etc. Please contact our Education officer Geraldine or Donnacha on 086 1424904 for further details.

We also run various FETAC courses at different levels in IT and Personal Effectiveness

Some of the current groups; classes:

      • A Beginners Crochet class was organised in previous years & the participants have set up a group which meets on Thursday evenings.
      • Sewing Machine Group meet on Friday mornings.
      • East Alive Womens Group meet on Thursday mornings.

The Ballybane Community Organic Garden – volunteers always welcome – the garden is open on Wednesday evenings from 7.00-9.00pm, Thursday mornings from 10.00-1.00pm and on Saturday mornings from 2.00-4.00pm
