SICAP Community Development

About

Community development is at the core of what we do. Our Community Development team works under Goal 1 of SICAP and aims to empower communities to identify and respond to their own needs.
We work with community groups and the wider community in our key areas of Ballinfoile, Ballybane and Wesstide, with community workers based in each of those areas.

Key Supports

We help community groups by:
  • Supporting you with grant applications and returns
  • Supporting you to deliver classes or run activities
  • Supporting your group to connect with other groups, networks and relevant agencies

We help community groups by:

  • Providing free regular activities in these areas
  • Creating opportunities for you to engage in your community and join a local community group
