Ukrainian Peer Support
About
The Ukrainian Peer Support service, delivered by Galway City Partnership, offers dedicated support to Ukrainian individuals and families living in Galway City and County.
This service helps Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTPs) access vital healthcare and well-being supports. Through one-to-one assistance, group clinics, and translated resources, the Peer Support Worker acts as a trusted bridge between the Ukrainian community and Irish services.
The focus is on promoting health access, overcoming language and cultural barriers, and ensuring individuals are supported throughout their resettlement journey.
The service also plays a key role in raising awareness around mental health, vaccinations, maternity supports, and other public health services
